This came during a meeting with Vice Foreign Minister Cho Hyun-dong with China's top envoy in Korea today, Thursday, according to the South Korean News Agency.

According to the South Korean News Agency, the two sides agreed on the importance of stabilizing regional security, and the need to continue developing relations between Seoul and Beijing, which this year marks the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them.

For his part, the Korean Vice Foreign Minister expressed his deep regret that North Korea undermined regional stability by launching ballistic missiles, calling on China to play a proactive role in efforts to change the course of the rebellious regime, and proposing to strengthen the close cooperation between Seoul and Beijing based on the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.

The meeting comes amid growing concern about the future of relations between the two neighboring countries, after the Korean president's administration made it clear that it would give top priority to diplomatic policy to deepen and broaden the alliance with the United States
